Dear 2018 Glencairn “flock”

Thank you for entering the 3rd edition of the GCTR – we have been blown away by the uptake! We promise to ensure that your weekend spent with us will be one you won’t forget. If you have any friends who missed on an entry, please tell them to get their names on the wait list as there will be a few entrants who are unable to run and we can substitute them in. Another bonus to being on the waiting list is that for 2019 they will also get first option to enter along with all of you.

This is the first newsletter leading up to the event. We promise not to overwhelm you with information in the newsletters to follow but provide you with some important info and a few things to get excited about!

Inside this edition:

  • Tent Allocations

If you would like to rather share a tent with someone please let us know by emailing admin@glencairntrailrun.co.zaand we will sort it out.

Substitutions
If you are unable to run, you can either substitute you entry with a friend or email us and we will put you in contact with a runner on the waiting list. For more info visit our website here.

Yoga
We super excited about this one! Sam Beningfield, a yoga instructor at Yoga Rocks – Durban, will be joining us this year and treating those who are keen to a yoga session on Saturday afternoon. Not only will this help stretch you out for day 2, it will also help you loosen up for Saturday night (watch this space). All you will need to bring is a mat or towel. And don’t worry if you start cramping or pull a muscle, Sam is a Doctor too!!

Physio Bookings
Claire Fuller Physiotherapy will be providing qualified Physiotherapy to runners. Sessions are R380 per runner per session Click here to pre-book a session.

Airport Shuttle
Depending on demand we will provide an airport shuttle run by Clouds of Hope, an orphanage in Underberg. It will leave Durban International Airport (King Shaka) at 14:00 on Friday and return on Sunday. Flights from Durban airport on Sunday need to be booked for after 15:00. The shuttle will plan to leave Glencairn Farm at 11:30. Price to still be confirmed.
